It's Friday! I have so much to do today while juggling work in between. Here we go! Started out the day feeling nice and positive. The weekend is finally here after all!

Breakfast was my usual yogurt and berries before I had to run out of the house to help one of my friends clean and move some stuff.

But before I could do that I needed caffeine. I got myself a cold brew coffee with SF vanilla and hazelnut and heavy cream. I made it up on the fly and I might never go back! It was so good! I don't drink coffee often, but when you need it, you need it!
After helping with cleaning and moving I ran back home so one of my other friends could come over and give me a fresh mani! We've both recently gotten into dip powder home manicures and she is definitely more talented than I am. I love pinks and sparkles!

In the middle of doing my nails we both got super hungry and decided to run over to a nearby Subway. If you've never had a Subway salad, they're actually really good. I got mine with chicken, lettuce, spinach, tomato, green peppers, banana peppers, and olives with a drizzle of chipotle southwest sauce. Love a fresh salad that's made right in front of you!

After nails it was finally time to get ready for date night! I got these new Ariat jeans and they fit so well! As a short curvy girl, I find it extremely difficult to find boot cut or straight leg jeans that are the right length and that fit me in the hips. These jeans do it all! They hit me perfectly on the hips in a very flattering spot and they have a high waistband in the back to keep the booty in. It also helps that they're made of quality denim.
I am feeling foxy for date night!

We went to Mackenzie River Pizza Co. in the next town over for dinner.
I had to have the spinach and artichoke dip. It's one of my favorites! And it was so stinking good! Creamy and full of flavor. The blue tortilla chips were a nice crunch too. I was a little worried about eating chips for the first time in so long, but I didn't seem to have a problem with it. I also did NOT eat all of them lol.
My eyes kept finding this Italian chicken panini on the menu so I decided to try it out! This is another reminder for me that my journey is about finding balance, health, and happiness. However, I did opt for a Cesar salad instead of fries. I ended up only eating a few bites of the salad because they put waaaaaay too much dressing on it. Better ask for dressing on the side next time.
The panini had chicken, avocado, tomatoes, pesto mayo, and provolone on grilled Italian bread. It was super yummy, but I could only eat about 3 bites of the bread. After that I busted it open and ate the fillings by itself. I could feel the bread expanding in my tummy and didn't think the whole sandwich was a good idea. Might have also been the tortilla chips.....

We had no room for dessert so that meant it was time for ax throwing!

We went to Axe Force One and tried our hand at throwing all sorts of sharp objects at the wall. I was not so good at this. At all. But at the end I finally got one bullseye! The BF was definitely better at this than I was. He ended up using the throwing knives and got some good scores.
I tried to take pictures of him throwing, but he hates pictures and purposefully sabotages them. Butthead!
All in all it was a great date night and hopefully the first of many. When the BF asked why I wanted to start doing regular date nights, I explained that I want us to keep having fun together. Now that we live together we are always with each other and we spend most of our time together. But that's just living. I want to EXPERIENCE! I want to be excited to spend all of my time with him because I love him so much. I want our lives to be filled with excitement and new things.
If there's one piece of relationship advice that I've heard over and over, it's to never stop having fun together.
I'm antsy to see what he will come up with for his date night idea next!
Once we got home we got into comfy clothes and watched a movie. I ended up snacking on half the BF's popcorn and gave myself a tummy ache. I love popcorn, but I don't think all that salt and butter like me.....
Stay tuned!
